Half Dome

Half Dome

I really didn't understand how intense of a hike Half Dome was before I started. I realized it was going to be hard when at 5 am me and Justin were climbing up steep stairs under a waterfall and getting drenched with water while my legs were burning from the incline. About 5 hours later, after a draining morning I was on top of the sub-dome, which had stunning views of all Yosemite Valley. Unfortunately due to snow still being on top of the actual dome, the cables leading the side were not set up. Some dare devils were still willing to use the slack-y cables without the wooden steps to officially complete the climb but since I like myself and living too much I decided to hold off on going to the very top until next time when the cables are actually set up ha. My legs are still sore!

happy memorial day weekend!

finally a sunny weekend in Los Angeles and just in time for a three day weekend! Hopefully soon I can upload the pictures I have been taking from the Holga camera because they are really just the best. Cholada is my new favorite malibu spot...super quaint place with beach views and amazing thai food.

I decided to update today due to my mothers disappointed emails about no posts. anyway Catalyst 2010 was UCLA's fashion groups annual fashion show and that spec of a person walking is me. photo credit to sweetie.

San Francisco weekend

San Francisco weekend-er

Ok so this update I put up a little earlier then I was going to because of post pressure from a certain madeleine dick godfrey :)

anyway there will be more to come of this weekend since the majority of the pictures were taken on my newly acquired (thanks to sweetie) lovely holga- this being said, there might not be any more pictures if the holga pictures didn't turn out since I am a first time user hehe whoopss might have exposed the film a few times. One will just have to wait and see. The trip was spent in San Fran and Monterey where we ate amazing fish and saw the golden gate, the lone cypress and much more. Ohhh and another later post I will show some pictures of the "Mystery Spot" in Santa Cruz- a slightly strange experience

So I realize there hasn't been much in the way of updates lately but that is all changing right now. Tonight sweetie and I went to the famous Tito's Tacos. Very popular spot of the Los Angeles locals, yet being born and raised in San Diego- next to the border- I didn't see the big fuss...Still, very good cheap eats mexican food. We also for our date night went to see the new movie "date night". I give it five stars in my book. hilarious
